I am sitting outside near the old, wooden silo, overlooking the oak grove and the duck pond. The border collies are going crazy as they dive in the dry leaves and chase ravens, stopping only to bring me a ball so that I can partake in their play. The air is warm, but there is a cool breeze that occasionally runs through the tops of the trees and then wraps around me. It carries the scent of autumn…. persimmons, pomegranates, spiced peaces… and little hint of wood smoke….
I’m writing, developing relationships for my characters and realizing how incredibly blessed I am to have you.. family, friends and fans…in my life. Because of all of you, this season will be a blessed one for me.

Thank You!

P.S. Whips and Canes AND Protect and Correct are both half done! With my lay-off….. I am writing machine!!!!

Meet Meatball Hayse…

Hi y’all! Things have been a bit chaotic lately with Nikkers and her new job and John and I as new parents!
This is Meatball. A handful of the cutest prickly pear on the planet. She huffs and puffs and sticks that little black nose wherever it can fit… Including places that John prefers she did not. Under the dryer… In a pocket… Up a pant leg. I think you get the idea.

On a personal note, John and I are also focusing on spending more time together. Between the losses I experience with my job, and his absence due to work and training, when we do see one another, we are too tired to really enjoy each other. It is affecting my writing and the blog as well. John has been giving so much of himself to so many of his subbies that he has not had the time to post, let alone work with me on our own projects. I am not the jealous type, but when he could not get time away to go on out dance date, I had to ask him to take a break from training and refocus on me. Seriously, it has been a month since my last session!

I will do my best to answer emails during my work hours, but John promised to take a hiatus for a month from the computer and concentrate on us and our personal and professional commitments. This includes recording our Christmas CD, his book and the book we are working on together.

I hope you all understand and will give him, and me, your support in this break. I miss the man, okay? Plus, Nik is never home to do my laundry, let alone work on the blog anymore, so I need his help. Thanks for everything! I love you!

Two By Day- Three By Night

Well, folks…. it’s almost done! I must say, this will be the most erotic and tantalizing piece I’ve ever written… plus, once again, it’s going to be a full length novel.  BTW- I’m so glad to get the feedback from you guys about the size of Guardian (yes, it was cut down from 115K to 83K words and I have not heard the end of it from my pesky kid sister!), and Generals’ Daughter (on Bethaney’s woodshed) had to be divided into 7 books (the original over 900 pages!).  Your feedback helped me decide to finish a book when it’s done and not be concerned about the length, and since it’s up to you guys- my readers, I’m happy to give you what you want!
I’m really excited about this story… it’s out there, like most of my books, and is birthed from nearly every woman’s fantasy- Menage! But not just a threesome… its a special threesome and one that will make your toes curl. Of course, there is a ton of romance, spankings and other kinky little twists and turns. I’ll keep you all updated as it progresses, ok?  Maybe if you email John, he’ll ‘urge’ me to write faster…..
Luvs, Bree
