Mojo Monday with Constance Masters

This week for Mojo Monday, I would like to offer a huge hello to Constance Masters. Constance is the author of the incredible DD book called My House, My Rules. I loved this story and I know you will to. I am so glad to have you here today. Welcome!

Bree: How long have you been writing?

Constance: I’ve been writing for a while but my first novella was published last May. I started writing fanfiction. I still do but not as often, time is not always my friend.

Bree:How did you get into writing this genre?

Constance: I LOVE this genre. I’ve always loved reading romance novels. All kinds but I always felt like something was missing. When I realised that I could read the stories that I love with the spankings I’d always imagined slotted into all the right places I was in heaven. I felt like I’d found my place.

Bree: Who or what inspires you to write?

Constance: Everyone and everything inspires me to write. I love to add a little humour into my writing and that’s how I see the world. Of course I have my down and sad times like everyone else. You have to see the funny side though or you’d go crazy right?

Bree: What is your biggest fantasy”

Constance: Gee I think that might be to wake up young again where I could really put my fantasies into practice back when my house wasn’t full of people big and small who don’t have a healthy respect for privacy.

Bree: Have you or would you write about it?

Constance: Now there’s a thought…maybe I could hit my head and wake up young again…

Bree: Tell me about your favorite book (that you wrote).

Constance: So far I think that would be My House, My Rules. It’s the story of a widow who has a spanking romance writer move in next door. She’s a hot mess and has never really recovered from her husband’s death or settled in to her new found responsibilities as a single parent.

Bree:What are you working on right now?

Constance: A couple of new books. One is about a couple of friends who separate after an argument. The guy goes off to school and the girl stays in the home town and dates one loser after another. They inadvertently meet up in Vegas which is where the story begins.

The other is a story about two women that swap lives and families for two weeks. Each of them learn a few things about the way the other woman lives.

Bree: Do you write under a pen name?

Constance: Yes.

Bree: What advice would you give to anyone that wants to write in the genre?

Constance: Write what you like to read because when you force something it never feels right. If you always wanted to try and write a book give it a go. Don’t go through life with wondering. It’s a lot of fun and you’ll make many great friends that will always be willing to help you.

Bree: Do you live the lifestyle? (DD or D/s)

Constance: I guess we do but I’m not really keen on labels for us. I think my husband has always been the head of the household long before we were into spanking. Maybe if there were computers when we first got married (Geez that makes me sound so old) we may have introduced that into our marriage then but we’ve been married a long time and we’re happy so why fix what isn’t broken?

Bree: when you are not writing, what are you doing? Hobbies? Etc.

Constance: I like reading, playing guitar and piano. I don’t have a lot of time though these days so I usually do something with my youngest son. The three of us go to the movies, watch television, play cards…simple things. Then of course there’s the grandchildren…

  1. Constance, I enjoyed your book “My House, My Rules” As a single parent I could relate to some of the situations you wrote about. A neighbor like that would have been awesome.
